The time members give to Lions depends mainly on their own personal circumstances and on the community service activities the Club undertakes. Each Club also organises a variety of social activities for members and their partners, which are always great opportunities for fun and developing friendships.
Lions membership offers extensive opportunities for the kind of volunteer experience you desire.
As a member of the Lions Clubs you become aware of the needs of your community and have the opportunity to make a difference. Volunteers gain project management experience, leadership training, personal development opportunities and organised fund-raising programmes.
Every pound raised by the Lions Club goes directly to our charity; you will make life better for others whilst enriching your own life in the process. Being a Lion empowers you to help others in a way that no one person could do alone.
If you do not feel that you can commit to full membership, we always welcome 'Friends of Dover Lions' who help out at fundraising events and attend social activities as and when they are able.
