51st ANNUAL PUBLICAN'S WALK
SUNDAY 19th JULY 2026
Each year, Dover Lions host a sponsored walk, inviting local publicans and their supporters to raise money for the
club’s charity causes. The distance of the walk covers three round trips along the seafront promenade.
Fancy dress is optional but certainly adds to the fun of the occasion.
Trophies are awarded for the best group fancy dress and the best individual fancy dress.
Once all the proceeds have been counted, there is also a trophy for ‘Most Money Raised’
Since 1974, the walk has raised thousands of pounds for community needs, funding items such as a minibus for Age Concern, Holidays for the blind, and The Pilgrims Hospice. This year, proceeds will fund a free Christmas lunch for local senior citizens.
Individuals are also very welcome to join in the fun! If you would like to take part, please
contact [email protected] for further details and/or a sponsor form.
Even if not walking, why not come along and enjoy the spectacle of this historic event.
